Your diagram content stays in your browser.

DiagramLab uses local browser storage for the editor. It does not require an account or upload diagram contents to an application backend.

Plain-language summary

Your notes and wires are stored on this device. Export important work before clearing browser data, resetting the browser, or moving to another device.

What is stored locally

  • Diagram names, notes, positions, shapes, connections, and viewport settings are stored in IndexedDB.
  • The current diagram identifier is stored in localStorage so the editor can reopen it.
  • Imported DiagramLab JSON files are copied into the same local browser database.

Application data and network requests

DiagramLab does not require an account, and diagram content is not sent to an application server for storage. The current application does not use diagram contents for advertising or product analytics.

The hosting provider still serves the site files and may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, and timestamps under its own infrastructure policies.

Advertising and Google AdSense

DiagramLab may display Google AdSense advertisements on content pages such as Home, Features, and About. Advertising is kept outside the diagram editor so ads are not placed beside canvas tools, export controls, or the contents of your diagrams.

When advertisements are enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar storage and process information such as your IP address, device and browser details, general location, ad interactions, and page activity to deliver, secure, personalize, and measure advertising. DiagramLab does not send the text, structure, or exported contents of your diagrams to Google AdSense.

Where required, a consent message will provide choices before advertising storage or personalized advertising is used. Available choices can depend on your region and the advertising services available there. Learn more in Google's advertising policies and technologies.

Exports and user-controlled sharing

PNG, SVG, JSON, and ZIP exports are created at your request in the browser. Once downloaded or shared, those files are outside DiagramLab's local storage boundary and should be handled according to their sensitivity.

Deleting or moving your data

Clearing this site's browser storage removes locally saved diagrams. DiagramLab cannot restore them because it does not keep a server copy. Use the export controls before clearing storage or switching devices.

Avoid storing passwords, private keys, or other high-risk secrets in a diagram unless the security of the device and exported files is appropriate for that information.
