DiagramLab features
Turn connected thoughts into a clear visual map.
DiagramLab combines editable notes, flexible wires, and local-first storage in a focused online diagram maker.
Open the editor, add a note, and drag from any note edge to connect it. No account or workspace configuration is required.
Connect notes from any direction
Every note has connection points on all four sides. Wires remain attached while notes move or resize, making it practical to explore an idea before deciding on a final structure.
Connections can be selected, deleted, undone, and restored just like other diagram changes.
Build flowcharts and visual plans
Rectangle, circle, and text-style notes support lightweight flowcharts, project maps, decision paths, research synthesis, and connected-note planning.
Titles and descriptions are edited directly on the canvas, while drag, resize, zoom, pan, minimap, and selection controls keep larger diagrams manageable.
Keep work local by default
DiagramLab saves diagrams to IndexedDB in the current browser and remembers the active diagram with localStorage. Diagram contents are not uploaded to an application database.
Because there is no server backup, important work should be exported before clearing browser data or moving to another device.
Export for sharing or backup
- PNG for high-resolution bitmap sharing.
- SVG for scalable diagrams and design workflows.
- JSON for editable DiagramLab backups and imports.
- ZIP export for backing up all locally stored diagrams.
Make a diagram in four steps
- Add notes or shapes for the ideas and steps you need.
- Edit each title and description directly on the canvas.
- Drag between note handles to create the relationships.
- Arrange the map and export it in the format you need.
